Importing Furniture from China
China offers an enormous variety of furniture at competitive prices, for home, office and contract use. The challenge with furniture lies in the quality of the materials, the emissions, the packaging (it is bulky and damages easily) and container optimization. At R'S WARE we manage it from start to finish.
We import home, office, hospitality and contract furniture, outdoor and custom furniture, in solid wood, board, metal, rattan and upholstered. We verify the factory, control quality and materials, and manage logistics all the way to Spain, Europe or Latin America.
With furniture, what seems cheap can turn out expensive: a board that emits formaldehyde above what is permitted, poor hardware or weak packaging that arrives damaged. That is why we check materials, assembly and packaging before paying.
Why import furniture from China with R'S WARE?
Furniture combines quality risk and logistics risk. We control both.
- Verified suppliers of home, office and contract furniture.
- Sample approval and verification of materials and finishes.
- Quality control: stability, hardware, finish and assembly.
- Checking of formaldehyde emissions (classes E1/E0) in the boards.
- Reinforced anti-damage packaging and container optimization.
What furniture we import
- Home furniture: living room, bedroom, kitchen.
- Office furniture.
- Hospitality and contract: hotels, restaurants.
- Outdoor furniture.
- Upholstered furniture.
- Custom and OEM furniture, lighting and accessories.
Materials, emissions and quality
The quality of furniture lies in what you don't see: the board material, the hardware and the emissions. We verify it against the sample.
- Solid wood, board (MDF, plywood, particleboard), metal, rattan and upholstered.
- Formaldehyde emission of the boards (classes E1/E0), relevant to health and required in the EU.
- Strength and stability of the furniture.
- Quality of the hardware and the mechanisms.
- Finish and color uniformity.
Packaging, volume and container
Furniture is bulky and fragile in transport: the packaging and the use of the container determine your cost per unit.
- Reinforced packaging (corner protectors, edge guards, foam) to avoid damage.
- Optimization of container loading.
- Assembled furniture vs. flat-pack (disassembled): flat-pack reduces freight but requires good hardware and a manual.
- Calculation of cost per unit based on volume.
Upholstery and regulations
Upholstered furniture and use in hospitality add their own requirements. We advise you based on destination and use.
- Control of foam, stitching and strength of the upholstery.
- Fire behavior requirements according to the market and contract use.
- Labeling and documentation.
How the process works, step by step
- 1. We define product, materials and measurements.
- 2. We select the factory and approve the sample.
- 3. Control of materials, assembly and packaging.
- 4. Final QC before paying.
- 5. Container optimization, customs and transport.
- 6. Delivery to your warehouse or premises.

Contact nowFrequently asked questions
How do you guarantee the quality of the materials and the hardware?
We approve a sample and, during inspection, we check the board material, the quality of the hardware and mechanisms, the stability and the finish against that reference, before paying.
What is formaldehyde emission (E1/E0) and why does it matter?
It is the amount of formaldehyde that boards release; classes E1 and E0 indicate low emissions. It is relevant to health and required in the EU, so we verify the class of the board.
Is it better to import furniture assembled or disassembled (flat-pack)?
Flat-pack reduces freight because it makes better use of the container, but it requires good hardware and a clear manual. We advise you based on the product and calculate the cost per unit in each case.
How do you avoid furniture arriving damaged?
With reinforced packaging (corner protectors, edge guards, foam) and good stowage, in addition to optimizing the container loading. We control it during the inspection before shipment.
Do you import custom or hospitality (contract) furniture?
Yes. We handle custom and OEM furniture, and hospitality and contract projects, where we also verify the requirements for intensive use and fire behavior when applicable.
What is the minimum order and the timeframe?
It depends on the type of furniture and the factory. We give you a realistic timeframe (production + transport) and negotiate the minimum order to adjust it to your project.
